Make a Difference Day

This is your chance to come along and find out about how you can ‘Make a Difference’ to people in Lewisham. Lewisham benefits from the support of volunteers in a wide range of areas, from helping community groups with administration, to befriending isolated people in their homes, but it is not just the obvious benefits to those that you can volunteer with but have you ever considered the benefits to yourself?
Volunteering can help you: gain work experience; make friends/ meet new people; get a reference; have a routine; update their skills; learn new skills; support a cause; be active in their community; improve your CV amongst many other benefits.
Pop in and see us Saturday 27th October 2007 between 11am-3pm, this will be an informal event where you can find out more about volunteering in Lewisham.
