Volunteers play a vital role in Lewisham by helping increase the capacity of local organisations to deliver essential services. Volunteers provide a huge contribution to help develop community cohesion and bring diverse groups of people together. They bring with them skills and local knowledge, and it is through volunteers giving their time freely that organisations are able to be more far-reaching in their services.
